The music from the CD of the same name now comes available in print. The CD was created especially for beginning ballet classes. Everyone knows that this level of class can be very tricky. The music has to be very clear and "steady". The melodies have to be simple and clear. And there has to have some fun thrown in the mix. The music for Between...Tot and Teen was compiled with these things in mind.
Here are 25 classical, folk, and original pieces arranged in different tempi. Composers range from Verdi, Auber, Drigo and Tchaikovsky to titles such as "Who Stole the Kishka?" and "Clarinet Polka". Clear introductions are also added to each piece. I have had comments that this music is also appropriate for adult class. Several of the tracks were chosen for use in Paramount Pictures' "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". This book is an excellent supplement to any pianist's class repertoire.
Welcome to Danceables!
Here I can present to you the best of my work for ballet, pre-ballet, and tap class. And to my fellow pianists, here I can offer some tried and true books for ballet class -- and now I even have scores!
I have had the pleasure of accompanying some of the best teachers and dancers in the world. A big thank you to all of them, and to all of the
people who have loved and appreciated my music over the years.
